MANCHESTER BRANCH LIBRARY TO OFFER PROGRAM TO HELP PARENTS USE THE INTERNET TO SAVE MONEY
MANCHESTER, NJ – On Wednesday, April 13 at 10:30 am, the Manchester Branch Library will offer, “Hey It’s Free- The Moms’ Edition,” a class to teach you how to find free merchandise, coupons, and great deals on the Internet for diapers, formula, toys, and anything related to children. The instructor for the class will be Maria Colon, a staff member at the library who has been regularly using the web to save money on her shopping for several years.

MANCHESTER – The Manchester Branch Library will screen the film, “The Fighter” on Wednesday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 pm. See this popular sports biography on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!
This is the story of boxer “Irish” Micky Ward’s (Mark Wahlberg) unlikely road to the world light welterweight title. His rise was shepherded by half-brother Dicky (Christian Bale), a boxer-turned-trainer who rebounded from a life of drugs and crime.
This R-rated movie is part of the library’s Feature Film Series. It is 115 minutes long. Although registration is not required, early arrival is recommended.

MANCHESTER – Are you a patient, detail-oriented person who wants to volunteer your time? If so, consider joining the “Adopt-A-Shelf” program at the Manchester Branch Library. Responsibilities include “reading the shelves” (ensuring that items are in the correct Dewey Decimal order), straightening books, and tightening the book ends. Participants must be able to follow directions, work well independently, and stand and squat repeatedly. You may work hours that are convenient for you. A commitment of at least six months is required.
If you are interested in assisting with one of the most important jobs in the Library, please register for one of our training sessions. Sessions will be held on Thursday, April 14, at 2:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 27, at 7:00 pm. Attendance is limited to eight people per session. She will tell you how to drop pounds safely while improving your health. Cindy Brown is a certified health and wellness coach with M.O.V.E. Health & Wellness in Toms River, NJ.
