MANCHESTER – The Manchester Branch Library will screen the film, “Morning Glory” on Wednesday, June 8, at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 pm. See this popular comedy on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!
When hard-working TV producer Becky Fuller (Rachel McAdams) is fired from a local news program, her career begins to look as bleak as her love life. Stumbling into a job at “Daybreak” (the last-place national morning news show), she attempts to revitalize the show by bringing on legendary TV anchor Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford). Unfortunately, Pomeroy refuses to cover lighter news items like celebrity gossip and weather, let alone work with his new co-host, Colleen Peck (Diane Keaton). As Mike and Colleen clash, Becky’s blossoming love affair with fellow producer, Adam Bennett (Patrick Wilson) begins to unravel. Soon Becky is struggling to save her relationship, her reputation, her job and the show itself.
