“THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT”
MANCHESTER – The Manchester Branch Library will screen the film, “The Kids Are All Right” on Monday, June 13, at 2:00 p.m. See this popular drama on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!
Teen siblings of lesbian parents with an unknown sperm donor seek out and find their biological father. When they attempt to bring him into the family that their two mothers built for them, the household will never be the same again as family relationships get continually re-defined.
This R-rated movie is a special presentation in recognition of Gay Pride Month in June. Registration is not required but early arrival is recommended.

MANCHESTER – The Manchester Library will screen, “Nurse. Fighter. Boy” on Wednesday, June 15, at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 pm. See this popular independent drama on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!
A late summer night brawl causes three fates to be forever intertwined. Silence, a past his prime fighter who now fights illegally to survive, ends up in the care of nurse, Jude. Jude is a single mother descended from a long line of Jamaican caregivers. Her son Ciel, delves into music conjuring dreams for his mother.
The film is Canadian so the dialogue is in English. It is part of the library’s monthly Independent/Foreign Film Series. It is 93 minutes long. Registration is not required. This program is open all ages although it is geared toward adults.

MANCHESTER, NJ – On Thursday, June 16, the Manchester Branch Library will offer the class, “Genealogy Basics: Researching Your Family History” at 2:00 pm. Instructor Bob Breen will teach you how to get started tracing your family tree.

Manchester Branch Library to Teach Class On
MANCHESTER, NJ – On Thursday, June 16 at 7:00 pm, and Monday, June 20 at 10:00 am, the Manchester Branch Library will offer a class to make job hunters aware of library databases and online resources that will help them in their search. These include “Career Transitions” and “Job Accelerator” which assist with every phase of the process of landing a job from building a resume to locating available positions to sending out applications. Also being demonstrated in this lecture style setting will be the “Workforce NJ” website of the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development- another powerful job finding tool.
