Best-selling author Patti Callahan Henry at Pt. Pleasant Beach library

Point Pleasant- National best-selling author Patti Callahan Henry will introduce her new book, “The Art of Keeping Secrets,” at the Point Pleasant Beach branch of the Ocean County Library (710 McLean Ave.) at 7 p.m. Monday June 16.

A minister’s daughter, Patti Callahan Henry learned early how storytelling can affect lives. As a child she spent her summers on Cape Cod where she began her love affair with the ocean. She then moved south when she was twelve and found solace in books and stories.

She weaves all of these elements together in her five novels.

Patti Callahan Henry, the national bestselling author of “When Light Breaks” and “Between the Tides,” now returns with “The Art of Keeping Secrets.”  The novel is set in the South Carolina Lowcountry where a tragedy unites two women—and forces them to face the dark secrets of their past.

Patti Callahan Henry lives with her husband and three children near Atlanta, along the Chattahoochee River. She has been short-listed for the Townsend Prize for Fiction and nominated for the Southeastern Independent Booksellers Fiction Novel of the Year.
