Identifying and Controlling Plant Diseases: at Stafford

MASTER GARDENER SERIES:
IDENTIFYING AND CONTROLLING PLANT DISEASES

MANAHAWKIN – The Master Gardeners of Ocean County will present Identifying and Controlling Plant Diseases at 2:30 PM at the Stafford Branch of the Ocean County Library on Monday, July 25th. Sue Norman – a master gardener and a member of the Master Gardener Association of Ocean County – will identify the more common diseases and provide solutions for their prevention and control. The Master Gardener team will address any questions you may have before and after the talk. They will be at the library from 1:30 – 4:00 PM. You may also bring in dying or diseased clippings for plant diagnosis and possible remedies. Also, learn how you may become a master gardener.

The Stafford branch is located at 129 N. Main St. in Manahawkin. This program is free and open to the public. Paper Cranes for Japan

MANAHAWKIN – On Monday, June 6th, from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm, the Stafford Branch of the Ocean County Library invites teens to come in and make paper cranes to support Japan. Don’t worry if you’ve never folded a paper crane before – instruction will be provided!

MANAHAWKIN – On Thursday, June 9th, the Stafford Branch is holding a fiction café. We will discuss not just books, but also movies, television shows, video games, and anything else that tells a story.
