MANAHAWKIN –   Join us at the Stafford Branch of the Ocean County Library on Saturday, September 13^th  at 2:00 PM for our Family movie – Ratatouille – an animated comedy where Remy loves fine French food, which is a problem since he happens to be a rat.  He lives in an expensive French restaurant and desires to become a chef despite the disapproval of his father and brother who are happy eating garbage. He has adventures every day with a rat-despising staff that wants him gone in this riotous family film.  2007. 110 minutes. Rated G.

Our Feature Film will be shown on Monday, Sept, 22 at 6:30 PM.  National Treasure II: Book of Secrets – an action adventure about a treasure hunter who is looking for the truth behind the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. He finds John Wilkes Booth’s diary and is determined to uncover the mystery within the 18 missing pages. 2007. 118 minutes. Rated PG.

REVERSE  MORTGAGE  PROGRAM

MANAHAWKIN –   Join us on Wednesday, August 20^th 2008 at 2:00 PM for the program, “What Every Senior Should Know About Reverse Mortgages,” to be presented by Tony Bunn, with USA Financial Services.  A reverse mortgage allows homeowners age 62 and over to convert home equity into unrestricted use of cash, while the homeowner maintains complete ownership. This additional income provides security, financial independence and improved quality of life. There will be time for a question and answer period.

MOBILE  MAMMOGRAPHY  VAN

MANAHAWKIN –   The RNS Mobile Mammography Van will be at the Stafford Branch of the Ocean County Library on Thursday, August 28^th from 9:30-5:00.  The van makes cancer detection equipment easily accessible to women. This custom-designed van – one of only two such units in New Jersey – features the latest low-dose mammography equipment, and is accredited by the American College of Radiology and the FDA.  No appointment is needed.  Most insurance is accepted.  The van will be parked in the library parking lot.

T’AI  CHI  CLASSES

MANAHAWKIN –   T’ai chi is a soft style Chinese martial art. Its slow movements benefit health and health maintenance, as well as bring about a state of mental calm and clarity. It also helps alleviate stress.  Our instructor will be teaching the Sun style, short form, and asks that you wear loose clothing.  The class is open to those new to T’ai chi or to those who have experience.  Four classes will be held every Wednesday evening in June – the 4^th, 11^th, 18^th, and  25^th from 7:00-8:30.
