“THE ODD COUPLE” AT THE SURFLIGHT
AND DINNER AT UNCLE WILL’S
MANAHAWKIN – The Friends of the Stafford Branch of the Ocean County Library invite you to dinner and a show on Sunday, August 14th at 2:00 PM. It’s Neil Simon’s hilarious comedy classic of mismatched roommates but with a twist; it stars Cindy Williams and Jo Anne Worley as Florence Ungar and Olive Madison. They invite the girls over – not for a poker party – but to play Trivial Pursuit. The show is followed by dinner at Uncle Will’s in Beach Haven. The total cost is $65.00/per person. A $20.00 deposit is due by June 27th, and the balance is due by July 27th. STAFFORD LIBRARY CELEBRATES RENOVATION
MANAHAWKIN – The Friends of the Stafford Branch of the Ocean County Library are celebrating the branch’s recent renovation on Saturday, June 25th at 1:00 PM. All are invited. The library has served the residents of Stafford Township for more than thirty years and its focus is on maintaining excellent collections, programs and services, as well as adopting innovative technologies that will keep the library at the center of the community for many years to come. The library’s vision of “Connecting People, Building Community” is one that it lives every day, and this celebration recognizes the support of all of those who make this vision a reality.

MASTER GARDENER SERIES: HERBS
MANAHAWKIN – The Stafford branch of the Ocean County Library will present the program: “Herbs” on Monday, June 27th, at 2:30 PM. Mary Sheedy – a Master Gardener and a member of the Master Gardener Association of Ocean County – will give an overview of what herbs to plant and where; their life cycles; growing hints; when to plant; choice of containers; soil preference; how to harvest; and methods of preserving and uses.
A team of master gardeners will be on hand from before and after the talk to answer your gardening questions and analyze any dead, dying, or diseased cuttings you may wish to bring in. Use the services the Master Gardeners are bringing to southern Ocean County.
