MANCHESTER BRANCH LIBRARY TO SHOW
“THE MUSIC NEVER STOPPED”
MANCHESTER – The Manchester Branch Library will screen the film, “The Music Never Stopped” on Wednesday, November 2, at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 pm. See this popular drama on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!
Based on an actual case study by the famed neurologist, Dr. Oliver Sacks, this is the tale of a father (J.K. Simmons) struggling to bond with his estranged son (Lou Taylor Pucci) who suffers from a brain tumor that prevents him from forming new memories. Music by Bob Dylan, the Beatles, and the Grateful Dead that embodies the generation gap of the 1960s is featured as a tool for working through their relationship and a lifetime of missed opportunities.
This PG-rated movie is part of the library’s Feature Film Series. It is 105 minutes long. Although registration is not required, early arrival is recommended.

WORKSHOP ON AFFORDING HEALTH CARE
MANCHESTER, NJ – At the Manchester Branch Library on Friday, November 4 at 2:00 pm, representatives from the NJ Department of Banking and Finance will show you how you and your family can take advantage of new health benefits that have recently become available plus many other programs being created to help alleviate the strain of soaring medical costs. They will discuss new developments that can help many people for who health care can be prohibitively expensive especially during these tough economic times.

Manchester Branch Library Friends Group To Hold Silent Art Auction
MANCHESTER, NJ-During the month of November, until the 25th, paintings and photographs by local artists will be on display at the Manchester Branch Library for you to drop by and place your bids. Proceeds from the auction will benefit this branch of the Ocean County Library.
On Saturday November 5, there will be an Artists Reception starting at 2:00 pm in the library’s meeting room. You will be able to talk to some of the artists and place your bids while enjoying light refreshments! There is no registration for this event.

MANCHESTER BRANCH LIBRARY TO SHOW,
“THE COLORS OF THE MOUNTAIN”
MANCHESTER – The Manchester Library will screen, “The Colors of the Mountain” on Wednesday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 pm. See this popular foreign drama on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!
Manuel, 9, plays football every day in the countryside with his new ball and dreams of becoming a great goalkeeper until an unexpected accident sends the ball flying into a minefield. Despite the danger, Manuel convinces his two friends to help him rescue it. The adventure is set against signs of armed conflict that start to appear in the lives of the inhabitants of the remote, mountainous region of Colombia.
The dialogue is in Spanish with English subtitles and is 93 minutes long. It is part of the library’s monthly Independent Film Series. Registration is not required. This program is open all ages although it is geared toward adults.
