We Still Love Lucy

Author Elisabeth Edwards will revive memories of pioneering television entertainer Lucille Ball when Edwards presents her book new book, “I Love Lucy: A Celebration of All Things Lucy,” at the Toms River branch of the Ocean County Library, 101 Washington St., Friday Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.

Lucy’s appeal to television audiences has spanned seven decades and is rerun daily in thirty countries around the world. Her zany hijinks, visual comedy and quick wit continue to win her new fans.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature a Lucy trivia challenge and a screening of a classic television episode. Refreshments will be served.

Edwards, who has worked with the Arnaz family since 1992, is the author of three other books about Lucille Ball, including “I Love Lucy 50th Anniversary Edition,” “The Lucy & Desi Scrapbook,” and “The I Love Lucy Scrapbook.”

Her newest book presents backstage photos and images from Lucy’s personal collections that illustrate stories about the making of the television show. Highlights from the book include Lucy’s personal commentary on her favorite episodes and offer insights into her personality.
