Rosie the Riveter spotted at Toms River

The Toms River branch hosted a presentation of Rosie the Riveter: Women of World War II on Thursday, March 21st.

Trish Chambers, who  dressed as many woman in the blue collar workforce during the 40’s did, gave an informative presentation and allowed members from the audience to share their personal memories and experiences of the time. She spoke of the varied roles women assumed during the war, such as filling the need for a quickly created workforce at the home front, and how home life was affected by the radical sociological shifts.
