Manchester Branch To Show “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close”

Ocean County Library Manchester branch will screen the film, “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” on Wednesday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 pm. See this popular adventure drama on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!

Nine-year-old Oskar Schell (Thomas Horn) listens to the final answering machine message left by his father (Tom Hanks), who died in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 which he conceals from his mother, (Sandra Bullock). A year later, he discovers a key in his father’s belongings and, as he used to do with his father, embarks on a scavenger hunt to find the matching lock. He meets lots of people along the way and documents his journey in a scrapbook.

This PG13-rated movie is part of the library’s Feature Film Series. It is 129 minutes long. Although registration is not required, early arrival is recommended.
