Plumsted becomes site of Jedi training

On Monday June 25th an intergalactic affair took place at the Plumsted Branch of the Ocean County Library to kick off the 2012 Summer Reading. Over 100 Jedi knights in training swarmed the branch over the course of the day by decorating the Plumsted base with stars and spaceships. Some came dressed for the occasion in costume and participated in training games, used the force to complete a scavenger space hunt, made Chewbacca and Yoda crafts, and prepared pretzel light sabers with icing. Of course, many Star Wars books were displayed and checked out while some patrons took a break from the many activity stations to watch “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.”
