MANCHESTER BRANCH LIBRARY TO SHOW

“BEING FLYNN”

MANCHESTER – The Manchester library branch will screen the film, “Being Flynn” on Wednesday, October 24, at 2 p.m. and again at 6 pm. See this popular drama on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater! 

Working in a Boston homeless shelter, Nick Flynn (Paul Dano) re-encounters his father (Robert De Niro), a con man and self-proclaimed poet. Sensing trouble in his own life, Nick wrestles with the notion of reaching out yet again to his dad.

This R-rated movie is part of the library’s Feature Film Series. It is 102 minutes long. Although registration is not required, early arrival is recommended.

MANCHESTER BRANCH TO PRESENT

SEMINAR ON NUMEROLOGY

MANCHESTER, NJThe Manchester library branch will host an informational program about numerology on Tuesday, October 30 at 2 pm. Numerology is the study of numbers that helps determine and reflect a person’s characteristics, talents, motivations and path in life. The presenter, Michael John Fierro is a numerologist, life coach, lecturer and author who has been studying and working with this ancient system of divination since 1984.

“THE LUCKY ONE”

MANCHESTER – The Manchester library branch will screen the film, “The Lucky One” on Wednesday, October 31, at 2 p.m. and again at 6 pm. See this popular drama on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!  

Logan (Zac Efron) is a marine serving in Iraq. Just before his unit is attacked, he finds and was admiring a photo of a girl with the words “keep safe” written on the back. He survives and credits the photo for saving him. When he goes back to the States, he finds it difficult to adjust and is still haunted by what happened. Analyzing the photo, he finds in the background a landmark that tells him she is in Louisiana. He then goes there and finds her.

This PG13-rated movie is part of the library’s Feature Film Series. It is 101 minutes long. Although registration is not required, early arrival is recommended.
