2 programs coming to Manchester

MANCHESTER BRANCH LIBRARY TO HOST TALK BY DIET BOOK AUTHOR 

MANCHESTER –  Alan Aronoff will present an in-depth overview of his book, Diet Success Strategies: 67 Ways to Take Control of Your Food and Your Life at the Manchester branch Monday, November 5 at 2 p. m..

His book explains that diets often fail because people can’t stick with them long enough to create new eating habits and achieve the desired results. Rather than offering more suggestions about what to eat and what not eat to lose weight, Aronoff tells you how to stay on a diet.

This program is part of the library’s “Chapters of Health” series. It is open to the adult public, free of charge. Please register online at www.theoceancountylibrary.org or call (732) 657-7600.

MANCHESTER BRANCH LIBRARY TO HONOR VETERANS’ DAY

 MANCHESTER – On Friday, November 16 at 2 pm the Manchester branch will present Leon “Lee” Gromowa.

Lee will share his experiences fighting in the Vietnam War with the US Marines 3rd Division from 1968 to 1969 in the DMZ and Khe Sanh area.

Mr. Gromowa, a resident of Ocean County is speaking in commemoration of Veterans’ Day.
