Addressing seasonal affective disorder

TOMS RIVER –   Winter and the holidays. The days are getting shorter.  Demands on a person increase to the point where they can seem overwhelming. Depression sets in. What’s a person to do?

Perhaps the Ocean County Library can help.

The library and The Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center will present “S.A.D.,” a 25-minute discussion on seasonal affective disorder at six branches in November and December.

After the program, health coaches from The Center will also provide general health screenings for people who would like to participate.

Light refreshments will be provided.

The presentations will be held at:

Jackson, 2 Jackson Dr., Wed. Nov. 14 at 2 p.m.

Manchester, 21 Colonial Dr., Tue. Nov. 20 at 2 p.m.

Point Pleasant Borough, 834 Beaver Dam Rd., Tue. Nov. 27 at 11 a.m.

Stafford, 129 N. Main St., Manahawkin, Tue. Dec. 4 at 2 p.m.

Toms River, 101 Washington St., Tue. Dec. 11 at 2 p.m.

Plumsted, 119 Evergreen Rd., New Egypt, Mon. Dec. 17 at 2 p.m.
