Seasonal Affective Disorders (S.A.D.) seminar


MANCHESTER – Health coaches from Kimball Hospital’s Center for Healthy Aging will present a program about Seasonal Affective Disorders Tuesday Nov. 20 at 2 pm at the Manchester library branch, 21 Colonial Drive.


Speakers will explain the causes, symptoms and treatments for feelings of increased depression as the amount of daylight decreases and the weather turns inclement in winter. Following the discussion, general wellness screenings and light refreshments will be offered.


The program is part of the library’s “Chapters of Health” series and is open to the adult public, free of charge.

Manchester Branch Library to Host Nutrition Seminar for Seniors


MANCHESTER  – Ron Hyland will share nutrition and exercise tips to help seniors keep fit and maintain a healthy lifestyle Tuesday Nov. 27 at 2 p.m. in the Manchester library branch, 21 Colonial Dr., Tuesday Nov. 27 at 2 p.m.

Hyland is the Fitness Director for Keswick Pines in Whiting and a frequent speaker throughout Ocean County on topics pertaining to senior health and wellness.

MANCHESTER – The Manchester library branch, 21 Colonial Dr., will screen the film, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. and 6 pm.


See this popular romantic comedy on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!


A look at love through the eyes of five interconnected couples (including mothers-to-be played by Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez) experiencing the thrills and surprises of having a baby. They all come to understand the universal truth that no matter what you plan for, life doesn’t always deliver what’s expected.


This 113-minute, PG13-rated movie is part of the library’s Feature Film Series.  Although registration is not required, early arrival is recommended.
