“New Year, New You”

MANCHESTER, NJ– Start off the year right at the Manchester library branch on Tuesday, January 8 at 10 am. Experts from Meridian Health will give a presentation about nutrition, exercise and good health. They will also offer free screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, body mass index, and pulse.

This free program is part of the library’s “Chapters of Health” series and is open to the adult public, free of charge. Please register online at www.theoceancountylibrary.org or call 732.657.7600.

MANCHESTER BRANCH LIBRARY TO SHOW

“SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD”

MANCHESTER – The Manchester Branch Library will screen the film, “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World” on Wednesday, January 9, at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 pm. See this popular science fiction drama/romance on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!  

An asteroid is on a collision course towards Earth and in three weeks the world will come to an end. A man (Steve Carell) finds himself alone after his wife leaves in a panic. He decides to take a road trip to reunite with his high school sweetheart. Accompanying him is a neighbor who inadvertently throws a wrench into his plan.

This R-rated movie is part of the library’s Feature Film Series. It is 101 minutes long. Although registration is not required, early arrival is recommended. 

The Manchester branch of the Ocean County Library is located at 21 Colonial Drive in Manchester Township.
