Stuffed Animal Sleepover

The Berkeley branch held its third ever stuffed animal sleepover! Children ages 4-7 brought their favorite animals to the library on January 24.    Everyone enjoyed a craft, stories, and carpet “ice-skating.”  After being taught the library rules, the animals were tucked in for a well-behaved sleepover.

Nearly all of them misbehaved and broke the rules. The animals had book-cart races, got rambunctious in the Teen Zone, broke into the Family Place toy closet – and even played in the Branch Manager’s office!  The next morning, they crashed the staff meeting and tried to break into the snacks!

When the children picked up their stuffed pets, each received a scrapbook with pictures and captions depicting all the animals’ activities.  Everyone was thrilled to see what happened during the night. You can view the adventures of the stuffed animals here.
