Prerparing to reopen our Bay Head Reading Center

The Ocean County Library system is busy rebuilding the last two of its branches that were damaged during Superstorm Sandy and is on schedule to have services restored to all its customers during this summer.

The Bay Head Reading Center, 136 Meadow Av., is receiving its final touchups and furniture and materials will be delivered during the next three weeks.

The Library’s Facilities Department, led by Joseph Cahill and assisted by students from the Ocean County Vocational School’s Brick Center, performed the work.

“We are working diligently to reopen the reading center the week of Memorial Day with the goal of having our library staff back in the building on May 28th,” said Library Director Susan Quinn. “That will be followed by a grand reopening celebration for the public Saturday June 1st.”
