HEART HEALTHY NUTRITION WORKSHOP TO BE HELD AT THE MANCHESTER BRANCH LIBRARY

Learn how to eat smart for a healthy heart from Dr. Diane Verga Monday Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. in the Manchester library branch.

Verga, an MD who practices Internal Medicine in Toms River, will also review lifestyle changes, such as losing weight and stopping the use of tobacco, that may prevent heart disease. She will also discuss the signs, symptoms and risk factors of heart disease.

The free adult program is sponsored by the Community Outreach Department of Meridian Health and is part of the library’s “Chapters of Health” series. Register online at www.theoceancountylibrary.org or telephone (732) 657-7600.
