Juan Pablo is a big hit in Jackson

Great piano performance. Humorous anecdotes. And a little song and dance.

Cuban-born Juan Pablo Subirana performed before 65 people at the Jackson branch Wednesday night playing Latin American tunes and American show tunes.  He donned his top-hat and cane and danced, then danced later with his “girlfriend.”

After his 60-minute concert  Juan Pablo very graciously took the time to counsel a shy piano student in how he played certain cords in his performance.

Juan Pablo will perform three more times in Ocean County Library branches:

Brick, 301 Chambers Bridge Rd. 2 p.m. Thursday

Manchester, 21 Colonial Drive 2 p.m. Friday

Toms River, 101 Washington St. 2 p.m. Saturday.

Each of those three concerts are free of charge.

He will also play in the Strand Theater in Lakewood on Sunday. Call the theater for price and time information.
