Navigating A Healthy Hospital Stay

At the Manchester Branch Library on Tuesday, October 29 starting at 2:00 pm, health professionals from the Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center (an affiliate of the Barnabas Health System) will offer guidance on how to get through a hospital stay smoothly and with a minimum of stress. They will tell you what you should discuss with your doctor before having a procedure, what documents need to be prepared before being admitted, and how to understand your health insurance coverage  to help avoid unexpected charges. They will also advise you on how to avoid picking up germs while in the hospital and beyond. The sponsoring organization is providing light refreshments for attendees.

The program is part of the library’s “Chapters of Health” series and is open to the adult public, free of charge. Please register online at or call 732.657.7600.

The Manchester Branch of the Ocean County Library is located at 21 Colonial Drive in Manchester Township.
