Manchester to screen “Three Worlds” 3/19

MANCHESTER – The Manchester branch will screen, “Three Worlds” Wednesday March 19, at noon, 3 p.m. and again at 6 pm. See this popular foreign film on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater! 

While returning drunk from his bachelor party, Al commits a hit-and-run accident and is urged to leave the scene of the crime by his two friends who are with him in the car. Gnawed by guilt, he goes to the hospital to inquire anonymously about his victim. Unknown to him, the entire accident was witnessed by a young woman. Juliette. She called 911 and even helped contact the victim’s wife, a Moldavian illegal immigrant whom she decides to help.

Juliette recognizes Al in the hospital as the reckless driver and gradually they get to know each other. Things get complicated when romantic feelings between them start to arise.

The dialogue is in French and Moldovan with English subtitles and is 101 minutes long. This unrated movie is part of the library’s monthly Foreign/Independent Film Series.  Registration is not required. This program is open all ages although it is geared toward adults.
