Teacher/author Carl Perrin to speak at the Manchester branch

MANCHESTER  The Manchester library branch will celebrate “Teacher Appreciation Week” 7 p.m. Thursday May 8 with a talk by retired teacher and author Carl Perrin.

Perrin wrote the book, “Touching Eternity,” a memoir of his teaching career.

Perrin intended to teach only until his first novel became a best seller. Instead he taught English for half a century. This is one of several books that Perrin has authored. Other books include textbooks and how-to-write manuals.

Copies of “Touching Eternity” will be available for purchase and signing by the author.

This program is open to adults, free of charge. Register by telephoning 732-657-7600 or go online to www.theoceancountylibrary.org.

The Manchester branch is located at 21 Colonial Drive.
