WWII vet Tuzeneu visits Stafford to tell of his experiences

MANAHAWKIN  –  World War II veteran Walter K. Tuzeneu will talk about his experiences with the 320th Glider Field Artillery Battalion of the 82nd Airborne Division at the Stafford branch of the Ocean County Library 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 28th. His book – “The Knot Will Hold: For the 320th,” contains an accounting of Sergeant Tuzeneu’s test flight of the first 75mm howitzer inside a glider that was flown out of Africa. Gun crew chief Sergeant Tuzzie – as he was known in the Division, also talks about his D-Day orders, D-Day, the Bridge Too Far, and the Battle of the Bulge. There will be a book-signing after the talk.
