Tools For Teens and Adults: Drug Use and Abuse Special

To help inform the community about the increasing dangers of heroin usage in Ocean County, Ocean County Library hosted “Tools For Teens and Adults: Drug Use and Abuse Special on Heroin” at the Toms River branch on May 19.

Lt. Joseph Pangaro, a retired law enforcement officer, spoke to a packed audience about the dangers of heroin that are facing our community. It also discussed the effects that heroin has on the body, the signs of use and abuse, and what the legal ramifications are if you are caught using or dealing.

The next presentation of this program will be at the Jackson branch (2 Jackson Drive) Thursday, June 5 at 6 pm. Click here for more information.

The program was sponsored by a community collaboration of the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Ocean County Youth Services Commission, Ocean County Health Department, New Jersey Superior Court, Ocean County Probation Juvenile Supervision, Ocean County Library, Municipal Alliance Project, and New Jersey Governors Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse.
