D-Day vet spoke of the experience at Stafford


World War II veteran Walter K. Tuzeneu, 93, talked about his experiences with the 320th Glider Field Artillery Battalion of the 82nd Airborne Division on May 28, at the Stafford branch. His book – “The Knot Will Hold: For the 320th,” notes his test flight of the first 75mm howitzer inside a glider that was flown out of Africa. Sgt.Tuzeneu was known in the Division as a gun crew chief. He spoke to an audience of 40 people about his D-Day orders, D-Day, the Bridge Too Far, and the Battle of the Bulge.

Tuzeneu lives in West Long Branch.

A book-signing followed his presentation.
