Lumiri Tubo will sing @ Lacey & Berkeley branches

Upstate New York actress and vocalist Lumiri Tubo will perform musical concerts at the Lacey Branch (10 E. Lacey Rd., Forked River) Wednesday July 16 and the Berkeley Branch (30 Station Rd., Bayville) the following evening. Both concerts will begin 7 p.m.

She has earned her Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from Ohio State University and leads workshops for children of all ages. She has appeared in such diverse theatrical productions as “The King and I,” “A Raisin in the Sun,” and “The Rainmaker.”

John Hoglund, a reviewer for Backstage magazine, said her diverse vocal style “ranges from Anita Baker to Alberta Hunter.”
