“Explore & Explode Science Fun” @ Brick

Principal Librarian Carolyn Belvin presented “Explore & Explode Science Fun” to children at the Brick branch (301 Chambers Bridge Road) Monday, August 4.

The program focused on capillary action, the ability of a liquid to move through tubes or other narrow spaces, despite gravity.

Belvin illustrated the concept using an experiment with two cups and a paper towel. Water travelled through the towel into the empty cup. She cited celery’s ability to move liquids to its top as another example.
