2 TR programs commemorate Veterans Day

Toms River – Celebrate Veterans Day during two programs at the Toms River branch of the Ocean County Library.

On Tuesday, November 11th, we will have a patriotic celebration to honor all who have served in US conflicts.  It will include notable local veterans, Township Historian Mark Mutter, entertainment, and refreshments. The library program will begin at 11 a.m., immediately following the Toms River Veterans Day Parade.

At 7 p.m. Thursday November 13th the Irish band Clan Suibhne will commemorate The Great War with live music.  In addition to performing period songs from the British Isles on a wide array of musical instruments, they will give a slide presentation highlighting artifacts and photos from WWI.

These programs are free and open to the public. Information and registration for the program can be found at the library’s Web site www.theoceancountylibrary.org or by speaking to an operator at (732) 349-6200.
