Toms River library friends to host National Liberty Museum bus trip 6/10

TOMS RIVER –  The Friends of the Toms River Library will host a bus trip to the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia Wednesday June 10.

The trip includes:

  • A 90-minute guided tour of the museum’s highlights
  • A luncheon aboard the world’s oldest and largest four-masted tall ship, “The Moshulu,” at Penn’s Landing
  • A visit to the historic “Old City” and Shane’s Confectionary, the oldest candy store in the country.
  • Additional times will be allotted to visit other shops and attractions in the “Old City.”

Moderate walking is required for the tours.

The cost of the trip is $86 per person. The deadline to register is May 20.

Registration forms can be picked up at the Toms River library branch.

The bus will depart at 7:45 a.m. from the Route 37 Foodtown in Toms River. And will return approximately 6 p.m.

Entre choices for the luncheon include roasted chicken breast, beef short ribs or pan seared salmon. A cash bar will be available.
