MANCHESTER BRANCH LIBRARY TO SHOW
“SOMETHING BORROWED”

MANCHESTER – The Manchester Branch Library will screen the film, “Something Borrowed” on Wednesday, October 5, at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 pm. See this popular romantic comedy on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!

Friendships are tested and secrets come to the surface when terminally single Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) admits she was secretly in love with her best friend, Darcy’s (Kate Hudson) fiancé while they were in law school together.

This PG13-rated movie is part of the library’s Feature Film Series. It is 112 minutes long. Although registration is not required, early arrival is recommended.

MANCHESTER – The Manchester Branch Library will screen the film, “Jane Eyre” on Wednesday, October 12, at 2:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 pm. See this popular remake of the classic drama on a large screen without paying the admission fee of a movie theater!

Jane, the new governess at Thornfield Hall finds herself falling in love with her employer, Mr. Rochester. Happiness seems to have found Jane at last, but Mr. Rochester’s is hiding a terrible secret that could destroy it forever.

Bring your favorite yarn to share in our “yarn fashion show” and your current project to work on as we explore topics such as buying yarn and finding

MANCHESTER BRANCH LIBRARY AND COMMUNITY MEDICAL CENTER TO CO-SPONSOR CANCER AWARENESS FAIR

MANCHESTER, NJ– The Manchester Branch Library will be joining forces with Community Medical Center for a Cancer Awareness Fair on Saturday, October 15 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Manchester Branch Library. Attendees will be able to meet healthcare professionals, organizations and local businesses from throughout Ocean County that deal with cancer prevention and treatment.

Representatives from Community Medical Center will be on hand to sign people up for free cancer screenings. Other attractions include: the American Cancer Society, Community Medical Center Cancer Program, exercise demonstrations, Hospice and Home Care, Jacqueline Wilentz Breast Center, the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, Merle Norman (wigs and cosmetics), NJ Health (skin cancer), Reiki practitioners, Support Group for Prostate, therapy dogs, and Wellness Community.

Refreshments will be served, including ice supplied by Rita’s and light jazz music will be provided by guitarist Derek Pierre. There will also be drawings and giveaways!
