FREE HEALTH SCREENING – BLOOD PRESSURE AND BLOOD SUGAR

MANAHAWKIN – A Southern Ocean Medical Center nurse will be at the Stafford branch of the Ocean County Library on Monday, September 19th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM to conduct free health screenings for blood pressure and blood sugar. Even if you’re not experiencing any prior symptoms, you can suddenly experience a heart attack or stroke due to high blood pressure. That’s why blood pressure monitoring is so important. It may be the only way you can catch your high blood pressure before it is too late. Blood sugar testing is an important part of diabetes care and a way to prevent long-term complications. This program is funded by the Care To Be Aware Foundation, a Vanguard Vascular Charitable Foundation.
The Stafford branch is located at 129 N. Main St. in Manahawkin. This program is free and open to the public. Please register by calling the branch at (609) 597-3381, registering online at http://www.theoceancountylibrary.org or in person. If you have any questions, call the library for specific information.
