TAB forum held @ TR Mar. 19

About 75 people attended the Teen Advisory Board Forum Saturday March 19th.

The day is a time of saying thank you to all the teen volunteers who help out throughout the year.

“This year’s theme was relaxation and wellness,” said Kati Fernandez.

“We started the day off with a couple of icebreakers and then created crafts such as collages, worry stones, and sand-filled balloons that were designed to relieve stress,” said Erin DeLuca.

The teens also received instruction on the Teen Health and Wellness database that is offered by Ocean County Library.

After eating pizza for lunch from Capone’s The Sunday Drum Circle came in and the teens took part in an exercise with them.

A slideshow of photos from the TAB forum can be seen on the library’s Flickr account:

Lakewood TAB recruits new members

The Lakewood branch held a TAB Party on Thursday, September 9th to recruit the S.A.I.L. teens into joining TAB.  The response was great!  Five previous TAB members attended and 9 new members joined!  Erin prepared a spaghetti dinner, presented a TAB slideshow, and then had the teens decorate the Teen Zone windows with washable window markers.
