Memorial donations result in new Children’s Dept furniture at Upper Shores

Memorial donations made in honor of longtime resident, Olga Maiocco Petitti, helped make possible the purchase of new children’s furniture for the Upper Shores branch. A Dedication Ceremony held on June 22nd was attended by family & friends including three of Ms. Petitti’s daughters who took part in a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Ms. Petitti’s love of learning will be honored for generations to come as families enjoy the Big Cozy Books Reading Area. Her favorite story, Strega Nona, is immortalized as one of the book bench titles. The ceremony was followed by a marionette puppet show, Sea Story by Rosalita’s Puppets, which was kindly sponsored by the Friends of Upper Shores. It was a very special evening for our community, and the tribute will be remembered always.
